BOB COB

In June 2006 Mimics Made this happy smiling corn on the cob costume for British Sweetcorn, sponsored by Barfoots of Botley,Hampshire. Every vegetable needs its leader and British Sweetcorn has Bob Cob. The charismatic sweetcorn character is a rising media star, with a number of appearances planned over the summer. His body comprises of over 340 individual kernels of corn - each stuffed and sewn into a round shape and then sewn on by hand! We must have been mad - but it looks good!

His shoes were given extra corn detail with a strip of yellow latex 'cob' surrounded by individual strips of leatherette leaf! All that a well dressed cob could wish for! But he deserved them, as we love him and hope you do too!
